Cllr Nic Wells

Nic Wells has been a District Councillor for St Ives South since May 2022. He is also the Treasurer of the Huntingdonshire Liberal Democrats.

Nic has lived in Huntingdonshire since 1980, working in IT technical and management roles until he retired in 2020.   He has two daughters who attended Warboys school and St Peter’s School in Huntingdon, and two sons who were born at Hinchingbrooke and attended Westfield School in St Ives, where his first wife taught, and St Peter’s.  His wife died in 1997 and Nic remarried in 2006, gaining a stepson.  Nic and his wife moved to their riverside location in St Ives in 2015.

Before moving to St Ives, Nic served as a councillor on Warboys Parish Council and Godmanchester Town Council. He has been a St Ives Town Councillor since November 2020.

Nic volunteers maintaining Holt Island nature reserve, and is a St Ives U3A member.  He is the Treasurer of Houghton and Wyton Tennis Club and is a trustee of Disability Huntingdonshire.  He is on the electoral roll of All Saints C of E church in St Ives.
