Local Events
Ahead of the Huntingdonshire District Council elections we have a programme of action days and plenty of opportunities to volunteer, in order to help us build on successes of the last few years. We're not listing action days on this page, but if you'd like to help in the campaign, please click here.
Pub gathering in Brampton 27 February
We'll gather for a drink and chat with fellow Liberal Democrats in the Brampton Mill pub, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, PE28 4NE
The Brampton Mill also serves food: the suggestion is that people wanting to eat arrive earlier, so that others join them for a drink from 1930.
Pub gathering, Yaxley 18 March
We'll gather in the Tap & Grill (the Farmers Arms) 200 Broadway, Yaxley, Peterborough, PE7 3NT from 1930
The Tap & Grill also serves food: the suggestion is that people wanting to eat arrive earlier, so that others join them for a drink from 1930.
We run regular events throughout the year, both online and in person.
Events range from socials, debates, discussions, and our annual BBQ!
Recent discussions around policy have looked at:
- the Greater Cambridge Partnership's proposals for transport in Cambridgeshire (Sarah Conboy)
- factors affecting success for young people in education (Peter Downes)
- smart motorways (James Catmur)
- where we are in the light of Brexit — and the prospects for rejoining the EU (Mark Argent).
Recent speakers at our annual dinner include Lucy Nethsingha and Norman Lamb.
Information on forthcoming events appear above on this page - or sign up for our emails to stay in the loop!
