Pub gathering, Holywell, 9 June
We'll gather for a drink and chat with fellow Liberal Democrats at 19:30 in the Old Ferry Boat, Holywell, St. Ives PE27 4TG
"Thank you" summer party, Saturday 27 June 2026
After the recent Huntingdonshire District Council election.
Our summer party is a chance to meet friends old and new. We're keen to thank people who helped in the election campaign, and to welcome those who weren't able to join in, and people who've joined our email list more recently.
We will be at The Beacon Centre, Ermine Street, Alconbury PE28 4BE, 1800-2100 (this is a change from previous years)
Admission is free (though we are encouraging those who are able to donate £10 via huntslibdems.org.uk/donate).
We'll be providing pizzas and other food. If you'd like to come, please email debbie@mickelburgh.com so we know how many people to expect, and let us know of any dietary needs.
We run regular events throughout the year, both online and in person.
Events range from socials, debates, discussions, and our annual BBQ!
Recent discussions around policy have looked at:
- the Greater Cambridge Partnership's proposals for transport in Cambridgeshire (Sarah Conboy)
- factors affecting success for young people in education (Peter Downes)
- smart motorways (James Catmur)
- where we are in the light of Brexit — and the prospects for rejoining the EU (Mark Argent).
Recent speakers at our annual dinner include Lucy Nethsingha and Norman Lamb.
